Reunion Recap

For our first car trip--albeit a day trip--was to Bryan's family reunion in Sherman, Texas. And I am so proud to report she was a trooper, handling everyone handling her so well. With minimal napping that day, she slept through the night for the first time! Thank you, reunion!

My Other Child

Friday is--fingers crossed--the DAY Grace in the Empty Spaces is RELEASED! However, you can already take a peek on Amazon. This project has been life-changing for me. My co-author, Mark McPeak, totally humbled me when he asked me to join the writing process. Looking at the finished product I cannot believe we produced something so great. Although it sounds loopy, it almost feels like an out-of-body experience! Ha!

I certainly pray as it hits the shelves that it will challenge others as it has me to be more intentional with relationships within the Church.

Meeting Mimi and Daddy-Pa

Miss Anna Zane was super excited to meet her paternal grandparents, Mimi and Daddy-Pa. They came for a visit during the end of March, beginning of April. And what fun did she have!

Anna was a fan of napping with Daddy-Pa.

The Youree gals!

When Mimi walked into the nursery, this is how she found our daughter and Daddy-Pa. They were napping together!

Poor Mimi seemed to always get stuck with this chore!

Two-month Update

Anna Zane "enjoyed" her two-month doctor's appointment today. We are delighted to report that she is now 12 pounds and 5 ounces and a staggering 23.75 inches in length. She's still hanging strong in that 90th percentile for height!

In less happy news, she received three vaccines; thankfully, one of those was via the mouth! And we learned she has a mild case of thrush (spelling?). The good doc gave us some meds, which Dr. Youree will be administering. :-)

Daddy-Pa's First--and certainly not last--Photo Shoot

Right off the bat, I'll apologize! I'm waaaaaay behind on blogging. So, fingers crossed, I'll catch you up on our growing girl.

At the beginning of the month, Mimi and Daddy-Pa came for a visit. And the picture snapping started. Here are some of her mama's favorites.

Sip 'N See Anna Zane

Tuesday, March 8 we brought baby Anna home. On that Sunday our sweet church family hosted a Sip 'N See for Anna Zane. We were so blessed by how many people stopped by--on such short notice AND it was spring break weekend!

With just 24-hour advance notification, we did not have much of a chance to get nursery items before Anna arrived on the scene. Thus, it was such a blessing that so many brought gifts to celebrate Anna's arrival! Our car was packed--what a treat!

Anna told a joke . . . we all laughed. :-)

A family of THREE!

Sweet Nadia . . . so cute!

She's changed so much since this pic was taken!

Thank you to the Dentons for opening up their home! And thank you to Sherry, Kaye, and Brittany for making the Sip 'N See so special for us.
