Winter, Really?

As you can see from the pictures posted here, winter has not lasted in north Texas. In late January, the daffodils started emerging from the ground. Now, it looks like spring! And the temperatures are sure to match--high in the 60s and 70s for nearly two weeks. 

The flowers are not the only sign of spring. Last night we endured our first batch of severe weather. Thankfully, we only received much-needed rain and high winds with no damage. Twenty minutes to our east, people did suffer damage. 

If it's this hot and stormy in Feb, who knows what the summer will bring!
